Things to Remember
PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO PUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION LIKE PHONE NUMBERS OR LAST NAMES ON YOUR BLOG POSTS. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE IS SAFE AND PROTECTED WHILE USING THE BLOG.
You all have so much to be proud of, thanks for all your contributions to the blog. I hope that you are finding new and exciting books to read this summer. Remember to share your thoughts about the books that you are reading. When getting ready to write your posts ask yourself:
If I were the main character what would I do in that situation? How would I handle the problem?
What is the author's purpose? Do I agree or disagree with the authors message? Why?
If I were writing the book how might I change the setting or ending? Why? How would it change the story?
For example, in the book How Baseball Saved Us really enjoyed the author's message about community and how finding a common goal or interest, such as baseball, can help people build trust and overcome difficult situations.

Fudge-a-Mania
The Hatcher and the Tubman families decide to spend their summer vacation together in Maine, not next door to each other, but in the same house, much to the disgust of Peter Hatcher and his arch-rival Sheila Tubman. Sheila and Peter are related at the end of the story because their grandparents marry each other. Fudge no longer plans to be a bird when he grows up, but instead a bird breeder, or as he misprounounces it, "bird breather", to which Sheila immediately corrects him by saying he cannot breathe for birds. This is a great bird.
Double Fudge
Peter is twelve years old and in the seventh grade. For weird motives, Fudge has taken up a hobby in money, inventing songs about money, drawing pictures of money, and after he visits the Mint, the situation only gets worse. Moreover, they meet Peter's father Warren's long-lost cousin's family, Howie Hatcher from Hawaii and his perfect twin daughters Flora and Fauna. They invite themselves to stay with Peter's family, and only cause more mayhem when they embarrass Peter in school. This is a great book to read.
